Viviana B. Ponce- President
Hi! My name is Viviana B. Ponce, and I am so excited to be the President for the 2026-2027 academic year! I am pursuing a graduate degree in Dietetics at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I graduated from the University of Incarnate Word with my Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition. Learning about nutrition in an area close to home is essential for fostering a culturally inclusive environment that acknowledges dietary traditions from my Mexican heritage. I am looking forward to hearing from dietitians, professionals, and students who are passionate about dietetics. In my free time, I enjoy cooking homemade recipes, going on walks with my family, coloring, shopping, drinking coffee, and listening to music. I look forward to connecting with students across Texas!
Adrian Ontiveros - President Elect
Hello everyone! My name is Adrian Marcelo Ontiveros, and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to serve as President-Elect for the 2026–2027 year. I’m currently a graduate student in the Master of Science in Dietetics program at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition from University of Monterrey, where my passion for dietetics first began. Over the years, I’ve developed a strong interest in metabolic health, weight management, and longevity. What I enjoy the most about dietetics is helping people improve their health through nutrition, healthy habits, and sustainable lifestyle changes. As President-Elect, I’m excited to get to know more of our members, help strengthen our organization, and support opportunities for personal and professional growth. I look forward to connecting with all of you and making this a great year!

I am looking forward to supporting TSDA, connecting with students across Texas, and continuing to grow within the field of dietetics! Outside of school, I enjoy journaling, spending time with family and friends, and trying new foods.
